At Ananda Yoga and Detox, our signature detox program is our 7.5-day detox, which we affectionately call “The Transformer.” We believe that 7.5 days provides the optimal, yet achievable, detox duration.

People often ask why 7 days, and what’s the purpose of the additional 0.5 days at the end. As we all know, detoxing and cleansing have become increasingly popular in recent years as more people seek to reset their bodies and eliminate built-up toxins. But how long should an effective detox really last? While detox programs can range from a few days to a few weeks, evidence suggests that a 7-day detox may be the ideal duration.

The Ananda Yoga and Detox Approach When you arrive for a detox at Ananda, we always have you come the day before fasting so that you can meet the team and get your schedule. We accentuate the effects of the natural detoxing process by offering meditation and yin classes, daily massages, steam and ice sessions, and of course our supplements, shakes, and colemas.

On the last day – the 8th day – we are with you every step of the way as you start to reintroduce food. At Ananda Yoga and Detox, we add the last 0.5 days to help you reset and come back to eating slowly. The final day, you will be checking in with our staff and doing final colemas and supplements. Under the guidance of our consultants, you will take two light meals that will help you prepare for your return to your regular diet.
