FernBridging structure and soul, Fern combines over a decade of teaching experience with a strong professional background in leadership, communications, and project management. She holds a wide range of formal qualifications and teaching experience across yoga, wellness, and professional disciplines, which together inform her holistic approach to education and guest experience.

As the Director’s supporting lead, she helps translate Ananda’s vision into meaningful programs and guest experiences — overseeing yoga, detox, and teacher trainings while guiding students on the mat and beyond.

Before joining Ananda, Fern built a career in the UK charity sector, leading high-level partnerships, fundraising strategies, and large-scale events. With her unique blend of organizational insight and embodied wisdom, she ensures that every element of Ananda — from its daily classes to its broader vision — is delivered with authenticity, connection, and care.

Fern’s Yoga Journey:

Fern first discovered yoga as a teenager, finding in the practice a deep sense of grounding and self-inquiry that continues to evolve. Her teaching draws from years of study across Hatha (Sivananda tradition), Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin — informed by both modern anatomy and ancient philosophy.

As a long-term student of Valerie Jeremijenko — herself a dedicated student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga — Fern carries forward a living lineage of practice, discipline, and devotion. This connection infuses her teaching with reverence for tradition while allowing space for contemporary embodiment and exploration.

She has also studied extensively with Beta Gaiana Lisboa, whose trauma-informed and somatic approach to Yin and fascia work deeply informs Fern’s own teaching. She continues to carry forward Beta’s full system of Dynamic Spiral Yin Fascial Yoga, integrating myofascial release, breathwork, and energetic awareness into both group classes and teacher trainings.

Having taught widely across the UK, and internationally, Fern brings experience, inclusivity, and grounded presence to her teaching spaces. Whether guiding a 200-hour Vinyasa training, a 50-hour Yin program, or a drop-in Sacred Slow Flow class, she weaves all of these modalities together — uniting philosophy, movement, and mindful awareness to support students in cultivating balance, resilience, and inner connection.
