Find Your Own Pace: How Our Retreat Lets You Choose the Path That Fits You

Thinking about trying a yoga retreat but not sure what you want or how intense to go? At Ananda Yoga and Detox Center the focus is simple: your retreat should reflect your choices. You’ll have options every day from gentle beginner classes to dynamic sessions, workshops, and restorative practices and you decide what serves you in the moment.

You are supposed to have a light experience here. You need to know the fundamentals of yoga, want to rediscover yourself, or just need to step away to have some time off, and in all cases, our setting will be on your side throughout the journey. This is one of the reasons people choose our retreat when exploring Yoga Retreats In Thailand. Our programs are built to help beginners grow without pressure.

Choose your daily rhythm

Each morning you can start with a short guided meditation/pranayama (7:45–8:30) or sleep in and join a later class. You can take a beginners’ session at 9:45, step into a dynamic vinyasa, or pick a restorative practice instead. Up to six classes are available daily, so on any day you can push a little, rest a lot, or mix both.

Pick the level that fits you

Classes are clearly labeled by level and intention. Want slow and steady? Try Yoga Basics, Yin, or restorative sessions. Curious about a stronger practice? Try Mixed‑level Vinyasa or a Sunset Power Aerial class when you feel ready. Mysore and Ashtanga options are there with entry guidance you only join when it feels right.

Opt into support when you want it

You’ll meet the team on arrival to set intentions and suggested tracks, but nothing is fixed. If you want personalized feedback, book a one‑on‑one check‑in. Prefer to learn quietly from videos and gentle cues? That’s fine too. Teachers offer modifications and options so you can practice safely without pressure.

Try workshops to expand, or skip them

Workshops (breathwork, Yoga Nidra, kundalini, sound healing, alignment, myofascial release, aerial yin) are optional ways to explore more deeply. Attend a few to deepen understanding, or simply enjoy the classes and downtime, it’s your call.

Balance movement with rest and play

Afternoons are more relaxed. Enjoy a daily Thai massage; swim in the saltwater pool; relax in the herbal steam room or ice bath; stroll the beach; or join a mini workshop or afternoon class. Sunset dinners with live music and beachfront sunsets are there if you want connection.

Late afternoon and evenings

We also offer daily yin classes plus evening sound healing sessions — an important balance for mind and body.

Choose a retreat that fits your travel style

Whether you’re a young traveler who wants flexibility between exploring and practicing, a guest returning to yoga slowly, or someone who wants a few beginner classes before advancing, the schedule adapts to you. Accommodation levels, included meals, and amenities (SUP boards, mats, filtered water, motorbike support, Wi‑Fi) make practical choices simple.

The trainers at Ananda Yoga and Detox Center provide you with many years of experience in your practice. Valerie Jeremijenko (PhD, ERYT 500) is the leader of the center and has taught yoga over 30 years, making sure that all programs are of high quality and safety. The teaching team will be able to assist you in your development, respond to your queries, and guide you to the appropriate classes depending on your level. This sort of personal advice is very significant for a novice. You will not be judged or rushed; you will be encouraged.

You don’t have to do everything. The point is to have the freedom to try things, step back, or deepen all with clear guidance available. If you want help choosing a suggested track (starter, reclaiming, restorative, or starter‑to‑intermediate), the team can offer recommendations, but the final choice is always yours.
